Description and operation
Installed
on the intercooler assembly, the Boost Pressure Sensor (BPS) measures
the pressure of the compressed air in turbocharger.

Repair procedures
1. | Connect a KDS on the Data Link Connector (DLC). |
2. | Measure the output voltage of the BPS at idle and IG ON.

1. | Turn the ingnition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal. |
2. | Disconnect the boost pressure sensor connector (A). |
3. | Remove the sensor by loosening the mounting bolts (B).
Boost pressure sensor mounting bolt :
6.9 - 10.8 N·m (0.7 - 1.1 kgf·m, 5.1 - 8.0 lb·ft) |

that internal damage may occur when the component is dropped. If the
component has been dropped, inspect before installing. |
