The following maintenance services must be performed to ensure good emission control and performance. Keep receipts for all vehicle emission services to protect your warranty. Where both mileage and time are shown, the frequency of service is determined by whichever occurs first.

Follow the Normal Maintenance Schedule if the vehicle is usually operated where none of the following conditions apply. If any of the following conditions apply, follow the Maintenance Under Severe Usage Conditions.

Repair procedures Removal 1.Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. 2.Remove the front bumper assembly. (Refer to Body - "Front Bumper Assembly") 3.Remove the front fog lamp assembly (A) after loosening the mounting screws.
Repair procedures Inspection • Wrap tin foil around the end of the voltmeter test lead to prevent damaging the heater line. Apply pressure on the tin foil with hand and move the tin foil along the grid line to check for open circuits.
