General information General The supplemental restraint system (SRS) is designed to supplement the seat belt to help reduce the risk or severity of injury to the driver and passenger by activating and deploying the driver, passenger, side airbag and belt pretensioner in certain frontal or side collisions.
Description and operation Description The primary purpose of the SRSCM (Supplemental Restraints System Control Module) is to discriminate between an event that warrants restraint system deployment and an event that does not.

Repair procedures Removal 1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. 2. Open the tailgate. 3. Loosen the high mounted stop lamp mounting nuts (A). 4. Disconnect the washer nozzle (A) and high mounted stop lamp connector (B). 5. Remove the high mounted stop lamp (C).
